Vulnerable patients, especially those that are chronically ill, need to have a simple way to get digitally connected to the patient/provider communication process. 

A new study finds that digital health interventions may reinforce or even increase disparities. According to the researchers, individuals who used an electronic health record portal were more likely to be enrolled in private insurance, married, white and younger.
